The Worth County R-III Student Council recently announced the theme for this year's homecoming ---Remember when.... Students this year will work with their classmates to design their float around a particular decade, while a the same time tying in the Homecoming opponent's team (King City Wildkats). In their first junior high and high school class meetings of the year, each class determined which decade they would take. Classes were divided into three divisions: Primary (K-3), Intermediate/JH (4-8) and High School (9-12).
The selections so far are:
Seniors - 1950's
Juniors - 1970's
Sophomores - 1960's
Freshman - 1980's
8th grade - 1980's
7th grade - 1990's
4-6 grade - 1960's
3rd grade -
2nd grade -
1st grade -
In addition to the homecoming parade the Student Council is asking local businesses in the county to participate in a business window decorating contest. Any business is welcome to participate by decorating their store front window. We would also like to invite our church communities to participate as well. If you are interested in having your window displayed judged in the competition, please contact the HS office at (660) 564-2218.
Local civic groups and businesses are also welcome to put a float in the Homecoming parade. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Martz at (660) 564-3389.
